Profiles for backlit stand-alone letters

The profiles for stand-alone lit letters in the Geplast range of products are as follows:

Als Elkamt is a flexible PVC profile, 4m long, in various colours, provided with a 3 mm cross section for acrylic sheets.

Als Nature is an aluminium sheet profile, 0.8 mm thick and 2 m long, 50 mm to 150 mm thick.

The profiles for stand-alone lit letters are available in the following colours:

Als Elkamt:

White (RAL 9003), Red (RAL 3001), Black (RAL 9005), Blue (RAL 5017), Silver, Gold.

Als Nature:

It is delivered as aluminium natural colour, but it can be painted, provided with fastening holes on one side.

The following stages must be followed for manufacturing a stand-alone lit letter with the maximum height of 1,500 mm.

• The back of the Komatex letter and the front of the Acrylic letter are cut out.
• The aluminium profile is fastened following the shape of the Komatex letter, fixing it with screws through the fastening holes.
• The acrylic letter is introduced through the PVC profile cross section following the shape of the letter and then accurately glued to it using adhesive.
• The front of the letter made of acrylic and PVC profile is fastened to the back of the Komatex letter and aluminium profile with screws through the side of the PVC profile and through the side of the aluminium profile.
