Marlon FS

Marlon FS is a clear transparent sheet, maximising light transmission when required, or providing solar control through tinted versions. These sheets have increased shock resistance, and at the same time they are flexible enough to be buckled.


Marlon FSX Longlife

For projects designed for difficult environment conditions (heavy weather, chemical agents), Marlon FSX Longlife compact polycarbonate sheets are UV-protected on both sides. Marlon fsx LONGLIFE has special properties in terms of fire and shock resistance, becoming the perfect material for applications in public areas and with a high risk of vandalism.


Marlon FS Hard

Marlon FS Hard combines enhanced resistance to abrasion and chemical agents with the quality, clarity and resistance of the Marlon FS polycarbonate.

Compact polycarbonate sheets can be transparent, opaque, smoky (bronze) and in a wide range of colours. Standard dimensions are: 3,050 x 2,050. Other dimensions are available upon request: 2,440 x 1,220mm, 2,050 x 1,250mm, 2,050 x 2,500 mm.

Mounting on frames Compact polycarbonate sheets - Assembly method 1

Marlon FS compact polycarbonate sheets can be mounted on most types of frames, including PVC, wood, steel and aluminium. The frame system must hold the board but also allow for heat circulation. Only compatible insulators can be used, including silicone, EPDM, neoprene or "expanded plastifier", chloroprene with proven performances. PVC gaskets are not compatible with polycarbonate.

When cutting the sheets, a space must be provided to allow dilatation and thus avoid tensions or curving with temperature changes. There must be enough clearance for dilatation both in length and width of the sheet. For vertical installations, clearance for dilatation must be provided at the top of the sheet and on both sides.

Between the edges of the sheet and the frame, clearance must be provided to allow for heat dilatation in order to prevent the sheet from escaping from the frame.

Mounting in a curved system Compact polycarbonate sheets - Assembly method 2



Marlon FS compact polycarbonate sheets can be mounted in a curved skylight system, without any previous preparation.

The width of the sheets to be used depends on the skylight curve and span.


The critical load which brings deformity depends on the structure's geometry and the intrinsic properties of the Marlon FS sheets. A 1.5 safety factor is applied in all cases.
